I'm sorry Sheriff Brodie. I just don't get v.c.'s brand of humour. But what's this about the carcaradon cacarias?" Au Boffo, v.c. Posted by Picasa

Godzilla in 3-D. The only Hitchcock movie shot in 3-D was "Dial M for Murder."  Posted by Picasa

"Pulp Fiction" from 1994 is one of me favourites. It made John Travolta a mega star again. A well-crafted film by Quentin Tarantino. The dialogue is superb. Quentin stars in the last segment, none of which are in chronological order. Gimme shelter, v.c. Posted by Picasa

"Play it again, Sam" was never uttered by Rick in "Casablanca." Another urban legend run amok. We'll always have Paris, v.c. Posted by Picasa

I just had to view "Love Story" again after posting it on the Pond. Preppie and Cavalleri. Paramount Studios was in a bind in 1970, and the movie was almost never made. Arthur Hiller, the director, had to swear an oath to Paramount execs that he would not go a penny over the budget of 2 million bucks. ( a paltry sum these days ) Beau Bridges was the first choice for Ollie, and John Marley had to be talked into doing his part of Jennie's father, Phil. The movie was nominated for 7 academy awards. It was such a blockbuster that it literally saved Paramount from financial ruin. Where do I begin? v.c. Posted by Picasa

"Exhibit C." Today I snapped this photo with my cell phone of my boss. He put on "his face" after closing the door to his office. It was frightening to say the least. He said he thought I could do a better job. "I agreed- to survive." [ apologies to Olga ] After our mano a mano it was clear ( crystal ) to me as to what he expected. Briggs, now Kurtz! They still make 'em like they used to. But now they're living on the edge.  Posted by Picasa

John Travolta made a HUGE comeback by starring in "Pulp Affliction, er, Fiction." Posted by Picasa

These two cats ( no relation ) tried out for the parts but were rejected. Posted by Picasa

"Pulp Fiction" is one of me all time favourites. Cleverly woven together. It is not in chronological order, so Quentin has to put the puzzle together. And a fine job, we here at the Pond might add. Posted by Picasa
